Well I've been tossing the idea of making a background story for some time now...and I for one would be interested in seeing ppl's background stories about their experiences on this game. Where they're going, where they've been, friends and enemies they've made.
I know some people would ridicule such a story being made, but I think it would be rather interesting to see other people's personal experiences while playing this game.
As for now, this is the story of The Blade:
[glow=red,3,000]Jedi Knight[/glow]
My story starts, oh, about 7 years ago. I had just bought Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight. Like I do with all games that have both single and multiplayer, I played through the Single Player before I started playing on Multiplayer (MP was played on MSN Zone).
When I finally decided to play Multiplayer, I wanted to choose a semi-original name. Names like Yoda, Luke, and Katarn were all overused. So I came up with the name jedi_blade. I had come across a clan named _SAU_ (Secret Alliance of the Underworld). I made friends with a lot of people in there. I never joined the clan officially though. Instead I went and made my own clan called BoT (Blades of the Truth...ghey I know) and allied with _SAU_. About a year later, I left for boot camp (Navy) and entrusted my clan to the leader of _SAU_....Emperor. He integrated it into his clan as a sect until later he made all BoT's a member of his clan. BoT wasn't really strong...only 5 members at the most excluding myself. So I held no hard feelings towards him for doing that.
[glow=red,3,000]Jedi Outcast[/glow]
My friends in _SAU_ went to Jedi Outcast the moment it came out. I had been discharged from the Navy and lived in San Jose for a time. I kept in corrospondence with them. When I finally left San Jose and came back to Missouri, I tried accessing their website again...and unfortunately, the clan had disbanded. I had obtained Jedi Outcast. When I went to play Multiplayer, I found that my connection wouldn't allow me to do so. So I never really played it all that much.
[glow=red,3,000]Jedi Academy[/glow]
And lo and behold, I came to Jedi Academy. This was about two years ago if I remember right. I was mainly playing on a PowerDuel server. First clan I joined was KDAW (Knights Dream and Win or Knights Die and Whine). It was ran by a guy named SithLord...who was also a member of GoA back when they were very much alive and still in 1.00. Alas, about two weeks later, KDAW died when GoA went to 1.01. I had gone to 1.01 for a short time, but didn't like it. So I quit JA for about 6 months.
Then I came back. First server I started back on was {AX} server. I made friends with Methos since I seemed to have seen him more than any other {AX} out there. I also found out that a friend of mine from when I first started (The*Imminent*Messiah) was also still playing. However, when there were no admin on {AX}, things would get out of hand and I began searching for other servers.
[glow=red,3,000]The Ancients[/glow]
This was when I came across Zae's server for the first time. Like I always do, first thing I say when I enter is a request to not kick me because of my ping (at the time, I was on dial-up and people were all too happy to kick the highest pinged player). Zae and I started talking and we became friends. Then I met Nephtis. Even though Neph and I really didn't get off on the right foot, I really enjoyed duelling with her. I was using a staff at the time and the way she owned my ass with that single saber was just impressive to me. I used to ask Zae quite a few times whether or not Neph was gonna come on the server cause she was a challenge...and I love challenges. However, whatever differences Neph and I had we finally set aside. I apologized for the stuff I did and said and eventually we became close friends.
I came across the mia (Mandalorian Intergalactic Army) server around this time as well. I became a member of mia. I also met Omega here as well. I didn't stay in mia that long though.
Later on down the line, I found Shesmu's server and duelled him a few times (I was using duals at the time). I had heard of The Ancients from listening to Zae talk about them. Shesmu pointed me to {TA}'s forums. At this point, I had to make a decision between mia and {TA}...and there was no contest...I made my application. Since then, I have joined the ranks of {TA} and thoroughly enjoy being here.
As an irony of sorts, I once told Pauk that I had originally wanted to join {AX} to begin with....but I think both him and I agree that joining {TA} was much better for me in the long run.
